This place gave me the best meal I had in Grand Junction. And, trust me, that's not saying much. Your best bet in here is probably a steak and a beer. Everyone else loved their steaks. I had the chicken and portabellos with mashed potatoes and it was actually really good. It's the only thing that saved them from getting two stars. The green beans were god-awful. The chili was meh. (I swear, I'm done with red meat. Again. For real this time.) And this place does NOT know what a Long Island Iced Tea is. It tasted like a margarita with some rum in it.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! What's not great about it? The wait! They usually are only open for dinner, so you can imagine what that looks like at night. Some holidays, they are open for lunch. The prices are really fair compare to most establishments. The best part is, they give you "FREE" hot and fresh rolls, served with cinnamon butter or whipped butter (upon request). These rolls are all you can eat too! I could just visit this place and fill up on the free rolls! I absolutely love the rib eye steak. I have yet to try their prime rib, because they usually sell out of the medium within the first hour! They say they take 4 hours to prepare...so you can imagine how fast they go. I got their pull pork sandwich once and really did not care for it at all...stay away from that. This is a steak place...so order steak! Their bloomin onion is very yummy! Sign up for their e-club online and they will send you free appetizer coupons periodically.

The Roadhouse is a chain steakhouse with excellent food and a wide variety of sides. It is very consistent and kids love the buckets of peanuts and the shells all over the floor. ROLLIN', ROLLIN', ROLLIN' - KEEP THOSE DOGGIES MOVIN' - RAWHIDE! Through the teeming throng of hungry 'Mairkins, silverware and bread rolls in hand, our hostess questions us: "Have you eaten here before? How was your last visit?" We assure her that it was great, so that her manager - a look-alike for Smilin' Bob from the Enzyte commercials with the forced enthusiasm of a motivational speaker and the headset to match - doesn't come pester us at our table. I have to give pause for a moment about the ethical implications of employers that force all their employees to wear T-shirts that state "I LOVE MY JOB!". Since when did debasing and humiliating service-workers become the norm? First it was Hooters, then Chick-Fil-A and now the Roadhouse. There is a Kafkaesque element at work here, because obviously if they choose to refrain from wearing the coerced "I LOVE MY JOB" uniform, it infers they "don't love their job". Seriously, how many people LOVE their job 365 days a year, let alone when they are forced to emblazon it on their uniform? The steaks and BBQ come out perfectly, but most of the sides are a bit cafeteria-worthy. Baked beans are sweet & often underdone. Green beans are overcooked & greasy. Mashed potatoes & gravy tastes instant. They do serve baked sweet potatoes, but make sure to ask them to put the margarine or whatever it is on the side if you care about such things. Their meat entrees are fairly priced and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth considering if you are craving prime rib. The only entree I have disliked was the "Roadkill" - a wad of hamburger described as "chopped steak" with mushrooms & onions in a pool of grease. ROLLIN', ROLLIN', ROLLIN' - KEEP THOSE DOGGIES MOVIN' - RAWHIDE!

I normally get great food here, however something went awry on Tuesday April 8th. The fries were SO salty they were not edible, my ceasar salad was wilted and warm. Will think twice about spending at this establishment again......

Given a choice, I'll almost never choose a chain restaurant. The Texas Roadhouse is an exception. This place has really, really good food at exceptionally reasonable prices. They have among the best ribs I've ever had--and "fall off the bone" isn't a misnomer. My family and I actually had dinner here on Christmas Eve, and we were happy all around: three steaks, a half rack of ribs, and salmon. The service was good despite a very full restaurant and holiday craziness. I had a Peach cocktail (huge, and delicious) and we split two deserts among the table: the Big Ol' Brownie and Strawberry Cheesecake. As people who come from bigger cities and aren't typically enamored of chain restaurants, giving a big thumbs up to this place is really saying something.

Sure, there is sometimes a small wait to sit down, but the food is worth it. The stake is such that it can be cut with a butter knife, and the juices stream out. Never dry. All the sides are well made and good sized portions. I had food to take home, not because I didn';t want to eat it, but it was so hearty, I was full pretty fast. If I had one complaint, it was trying to get a drink refill on a busy night. If you want a steak dinner, do not waIT,go here.

I stopped in here after driving all day. I just wanted to go somewhere that has good food. All the Texas Roadhouse I've been at are great. So I didn't feel like I was rolling the dice coming here. I love their rolls and cinnamon butter. The cactus blossom is a must if you come here. The house salad with bleu cheese was great. All this was good to keep me tied over until my loaded bake potato & 12 ounce rib eye got there. Which both were wonderful. The service was fast & friendly. So she got her 20% tip.

Used to be one of our favorite chain restaurants, but now I'm not sure exactly why...rattlesnake bites and margaritas are great - ribs...not good, burnt and hard cinnamon butter rolls good, but it seems like this location is slipping a little bit

Our food tasted good but their management went above and beyond to treat us like dirt. Ordered a ribeye. It came out as a NY strip. One manager called me stupid then went and pulled my ticket and saw we in fact ordered ribeyes another manager brought us our food. She was nicer then the Owner stopped by and when I said I was unimpressed with his one manager told me I had a bad attitude and he didn't care if we ever came back. He is a jerk and it's not the first time I have seen him be rude to customers. This time it happened to be us. Will not be returning to the GJ location he lost a loyal customer

This place should be called "Texas Feedlot" because it's nothing more than a food factory where you are herded around like cattle into a booth and moved as quickly as possible to order, be served, and herded back out the door. The noise level in this place approached OSHA levels that could damage your eardrums. We were seated next to a party of about 12-14 people (including screaming children) that were actually YELLING across to each other. I love a party, but this was way overboard for open area seating. We four adults couldn't carry on a conversation at a normal vocal level even though we were sitting not 2-3 feet across from each other. Our most often used word was "WHAT?" for the 45 minutes that we were there. Never again...never again. My second glass of water had "floaters" in it either from the glass not being sanitized or the ice being dirty. Had to ask the waitress for a refill as she didn't check around like a seasoned waitress should (probably one of the local college kids). One of my forks' tines was bent so as to click against my teeth when drawing it out of my mouth. Luckily, there was another. The silverware was filmy and water spotted when I opened the napkin setup. Never again...never again. This place is a disgrace to the food industry of Grand Junction. It's a damned mad house of employees, servers, bartenders, customers that have no social manners, families that have no control over their children, and a decibel level that approaches a 747 taking off. Never again...never again. I pay for a dining experience, not for a dining circus, when I open my wallet to a restaurant. I'm not hard to please, but this place is just plain bad if you're a mature adult that wants a quiet place to enjoy a meal. Think carefully folks before you dare to enter "The Texas Feedlot" in Grand Junction.

Cold steaks cooked wrong, ran out of baked potatoes so they brought out the pitiful solitary steaks on a cold plate, then said they would bring us another side which we had to eat separately. Service was fair to poor, very disappointed overall. Something has happened to this place as the quality has taken a nosedive. Not likely to return soon. I'd suggest Outback.

Decent in all aspects price, food, service one thing I could gripe about every time I order the prime rib it always comes out cold so I stopped ordering it now I just stick with the sirloin if ur hungry for steak good place to go.

This place is recession proof. It's always packed and noisy. I used to go here when my kids were little, so they begged me to go back recently. Nothing has changed, but as far as I know, they have the best steaks in town, which is really sad on some level, but I'll get over it.

This is a typical western-style BBQ establishment. One will see Rattle Snake skins on the wall, spurs, old advertisements etc... The sweet bun appetizers are soooo good...and the cinnamon butter served makes these a delight! The service is a bit slow as it can get pretty busy here. The steaks are great! Grilled to perfection... The side dishes are ok...the service is great. The prices are good. This is a must visit in Grand Junction, CO.

Big disappoinment after reading other reviews. Had the 6 oz. sirloin dinner. It was served on a baby sized plate along with green beans that seem like they came out of a can. I ordered my steak medium, it was cooked very rare. I sent it back after complaining. The steak was very tough and my jaw still hurts 2 days later from trying to chew it up. Only good thing here, are the hot rolls when you are seated.

Stopped in here while driving through. Grand Junction is the biggest S#&thole town I've ever been too and would never want to go back...but this place was pretty good. The waitresses were very friendly and the manager came over to say hi. He even gave me a free half slab of ribs when I told him it was my first time there.
